Montreal | 6 months in Canada | Part VIII – Bike-Tour to L´Île-Bizard

Friday morning.

The weekend had just started. The weather was perfect. It was time to continue exploring the Montreal and the surrounding area.

After a bit of research the National Park L´Île-Bizard leaped out at me.

40 kilometers out of town.

Together with Viktor we each grabbed a Bixi, the City-Bike of Montreal and started our wild bike ride towards adventure.

With only 3 gears and a lot of baggage, the ride was quite challenging.

My tip: Go rent a real mountainbike or borrow a good bike from a friend, otherwise it´s going to be one hell of a ride.

But as you will see in a second, it was totally worth it. After a two-hour-long ride we arrived at paradise.

If you look around a bit you will be able to find a private spot just for you where you can be all alone.

Complete relaxation!

A real inside tip 😉

 “the king of the hill”

The view was phenomenal.

Great for having a picnic while watching the sunset.

Staring at the sun.

But that day too had to come to an end.

Anybody who is looking for a sporty bike ride with a great view, certainly can´t go wrong with L´Île-Bizard.

Have you ever made a really nice bike tour? 😀

Write it down below in the comments! 😉
